What is the warranty on Payment Guardian's products?
ALL PRODUCTS
MANUFACTURED AND SOLD BY PAYMENT GUARDIAN INC. (THE COMPANY), ARE WARRANTED
TO BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP UNDER NORMAL USE.
FOR A PERIOD OF 1 (ONE) YEAR FROM DATE OF PURCHASE. IF A PRODUCT SOLD
BY THE COMPANY PROVES TO BE DEFECTIVE, THE COMPANY WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE
IT FREE OF CHARGE WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR. THEREAFTER, ALL PRODUCTS TO BE
REPAIRED WILL BE SUBJECT TO A NOMINAL CHARGE FOR PAYMENT GUARDIAN'S PARTS,
LABOR AND RETURN SHIPPING, TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER DURING THE LIFETIME OF
THE CAR IN WHICH IT WAS ORIGINALLY INSTALLED.
What is the
procedure for returning a Payment Guardian product for repair?

FOR WARRANTY REPAIR MUST BE SENT POSTAGE PREPAID TO PAYMENT GUARDIAN INC.
- ATTENTION: REPAIRS DEPARTMENT 29783 EVANS RD. SUN CITY, CA 92586 WITH
BILL OF SALE OR OTHER DATED PROOF OF PURCHASE. ONCE WE HAVE RECEIVED THE
PRODUCTS IN QUESTION, PAYMENT GUARDIAN WILL SEND YOU A NOTICE THAT WILL
SHOW IF THE PRODUCT IS STILL COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND/OR AN ESTIMATE
FOR THE REAPAIR OF UNITS IF WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. THIS WARRANTY IS NONTRANSFERABLE
AND DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY PRODUCT DAMAGED BY ACCIDENT, PHYSICAL OR ELECTRICAL
MISUSE OR ABUSE, IMPROPER INSTALLATION, TAMPERING, ALTERATION, ANY USE
CONTRARY TO ITS INTENDED FUNCTION, UNAUTHORIZED SERVICE, FIRE, FLOOD,

Is it legal
to shut off a borrowers vehicle?
YES: The borrower
agrees in writing with all terms and conditions of the "Customer Disclosure"
form upon purchase, rent, or lease of the vehicle, and fully understands
the consequences of not adhering to their agreement. Each state has their
own laws with regards to "right to cure".
Do your products
have an Emergency Override feature?
YES: All Payment
Guardian products are specifically designed for keeping your exposure
of liability to a minimum. Every system we offer enables you to get the
customer back on the road no matter where they were disabled. Don't ever
purchase a system without it!
How long
does the Wireless Service for my systems last before expiration?
All of our systems
that require wireless service usually come with the first 3 years of service
prepaid as part of the purchase price. The 3 year period of service always
starts from the date your order is shipped.
How do I
renew Wireless Service after the initial period of service?
Once your initial
period of wireless service has expired, we will notify you when you need
to renew - so your service won't ever need to be interrupted.
Why should
I trust your service?
We
want you to be 100% convinced that the equipment and
service we provide will pass muster with you, the
borrowers, and if need be…in a court of law. So we
have shown our service to prominent legal professionals
and business experts, and asked for their feedback,
as well as their endorsement.
Is a “Payment Assurance System" approved for my State?
We own the patented
technology that is legal to use in every state, we have designed our systems
to adhere to most state consumer protection laws.
Is my corporate data safe with you?
The security of your information is our highest
priority. We save only basic corporate data used
to generate invoices and activate the devices you
wish to deactivate.
What if the borrower has an emergency and must
use the vehicle?
All of our units
are equipped with 1 time use - emergency override which allow the borrower
to use the vehicle for at least an additional 2 days.
Does Payment Guardian follow State and Federal mandated
"Right to Cure" periods?
Yes, and the
user can set each unit remotely from the online interface so even if they
move to a different state you can adjust to that states Right to Cure
criteria.
When does
Payment Guardian actually shut off the vehicle?
We
try to make it so the borrower is at home so we set
the kill signals to shut the car off between the hours
of 2am and 4am.
Does
Payment Guardian
shut the vehicle off when the borrower is driving?
No…It shuts
off the ignition system so when the borrower stops the vehicle it will
not restart.
Does the borrower get a warning before the vehicle
is shut off to allow them time to "cure"?
Yes. All of
our units have a voice chip and speaker which starts broadcasting a specific
message to the borrower as soon as the borrower turns the ignition key
off the day the "right to cure" period begins.
What
kind of computer and modem is required?
Our service
works on any modem hookup to the internet, and on any computer with at
least a Microsoft Explorer 4.0 or Netscape Navigator 4.0 browser, as well
as Adobe Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Word for reading, revising and printing
forms.
What kind of customer service support do I receive?
We have live
operators available from 9-5, Monday through Friday. But frankly, our
Customer Service people are as lonely as the Maytag repairman. Our service
is so easy to use, we don't get many calls. Nonetheless, should you need
